Privacy policy
How Praxa Tech Pty Ltd handles personal information. Short version: we collect what we need to reply to you, we don't sell it, and we don't put you on a mailing list.
Last updated: 4 August 2026
1. Who we are
Praxa Tech Pty Ltd (ABN 34 699 673 124), referred to here as "Praxa Tech", "we" or "us", is an Australian company that builds custom operations software for Australian and New Zealand manufacturers and wholesale distributors.
This policy covers praxatech.com and the enquiries we receive through it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
We work with businesses in Australia and New Zealand. Where we handle personal information about people in New Zealand, we also comply with the information privacy principles in the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Where the two regimes differ, we apply whichever gives you the stronger protection.
2. What we collect
Through the enquiry and demo forms on this site, you give us:
- Your name
- Your business name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to provide it
- What you tell us about your operation and what is slowing it down
- What system you are currently running, if you choose to tell us
Automatically, when you visit the site, we or our providers may collect:
- IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and pages viewed, in ordinary server logs
- Anonymised interaction data such as scrolling, clicks and session recordings of on-page behaviour, through our analytics provider
- Data used by Cloudflare Turnstile to tell a person from a bot when you submit a form
We do not collect sensitive information as that term is defined in the Privacy Act, and we ask that you do not send it to us.
3. Why we collect it
We use the information you give us to:
- Reply to your enquiry and arrange a call
- Build the free demo of your business, if you ask for one
- Prepare a proposal, if that is where the conversation goes
- Keep a record of our dealings with you in our own customer records
- Protect the site from spam and abuse
- Understand which pages people find useful, so we can improve them
We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking. If you enquire and then decide against it, we stop contacting you.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run the site and respond to you:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this site, delivers it and provides the Turnstile anti-spam check
- FormSubmit, which relays your enquiry to our email inbox
- Contentsquare, which provides the website analytics described above
- Our own customer records system, which is operated by Praxa Tech and hosted on Cloudflare
Some of these providers operate overseas, which means your information may be stored or processed outside Australia and New Zealand, including in the United States and the European Union. By submitting a form on this site you consent to that disclosure. We take reasonable steps to use providers with appropriate security practices, but overseas recipients may not be subject to the Privacy Act.
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to protect our rights or someone's safety.
5. Cookies and analytics
This site uses cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: keeping the site secure, and understanding how the site is used so we can improve it. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though the anti-spam check on the forms may behave differently.
6. Client data inside systems we build
This section matters if you are a client rather than a visitor.
When we build and operate a system for you, we handle your business data, which may include personal information about your staff, customers and suppliers. In that arrangement:
- That data is yours. We handle it on your instructions and for the purpose of building and supporting your system, and for nothing else.
- Client systems are hosted on Cloudflare, in your own account, with the database in Cloudflare's Oceania region, which for our clients means Australian infrastructure. That applies to New Zealand clients too, which means a New Zealand client's operational data is held in Australia. We will tell you that before you sign, not after.
- We do not use your operational data to train anything, to build products for other clients, or for any purpose you have not agreed to.
- Our access is limited to the people who need it to build and support your system, and it ends when the engagement does.
- The specific terms are set out in your proposal and services agreement, which take precedence over this page where they differ.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. That includes encryption in transit, access controls, and limiting who inside Praxa Tech can see enquiry records.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will act in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
8. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as they are useful for the purpose they were collected for, and for as long as we are required to keep business records. Where an enquiry does not proceed and you ask us to delete it, we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
9. Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email admin@praxatech.com and we will respond within a reasonable period, usually within 30 days.
We do not charge for access requests in ordinary circumstances. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing.
10. Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, tell us first. Email admin@praxatech.com with the details. We will acknowledge it promptly and give you a written response, normally within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
If you are in New Zealand, you can instead complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always at praxatech.com/privacy, with the date it was last updated at the top of the page. Material changes will be reflected there rather than announced by email.
